INDALO Yelapa is taking shape as an intimate tented sanctuary along Yelapa’s boat-access shore, where considered design, open-air hospitality, food, and wellbeing are grounded in a deep respect for place.
Small in scale and intentionally unhurried, INDALO offers a different way to experience the Mexican Pacific—closer to nature, connected to community and shaped by the rhythms of Yelapa.
Location
Where the jungle meets the sea.
On the southern edge of Banderas Bay, Yelapa is a boat-access coastal community framed by the Sierra Madre and the Pacific. The journey from Puerto Vallarta takes approximately 45 minutes—as the city recedes and the coastline unfolds, the pace begins to change.
Without a road into the village, life moves largely on foot and by boat. A sweeping beach, palm-lined pathways, rivers and seasonal waterfalls connect the community to the surrounding jungle, creating a setting that feels far removed while remaining remarkably close to Puerto Vallarta.

INDALO is guided by a simple belief: hospitality should strengthen the place it inhabits.
The project is being created with lightweight, elevated tented structures, open-air spaces, renewable energy, and infrastructure adapted to the realities of a boat-access site. Each decision is intended to reduce permanent intervention while keeping the experience closely connected to the surrounding landscape.
Our relationship with Yelapa begins with respect for the Indigenous Community of Chacala, whose land and stewardship make the project possible. INDALO prioritizes local employment, regional sourcing, and meaningful collaboration with the people, producers, and practitioners who give Yelapa its distinct identity.
We view sustainability not as a finished claim, but as an ongoing discipline—one that requires thoughtful use of resources, responsiveness to the site, and continuous improvement as INDALO evolves.
The First Chapter
A considered beginning.
The first expression of INDALO brings together three complementary experiences: La Chiringuita, three Tented suites, and a renewed Beach Lounge. Each is intimate in scale, distinct in character, and connected by a shared approach to food, nature, and unhurried hospitality.
La Chiringuita
A deliberately small beachside pantry near the pier, built around exceptional ingredients, honest preparations, coffee, and refreshing drinks. La Chiringuita will serve as INDALO’s first gathering place and introduction to its approach to food.
Tented Suites
Three tented suites have already arrived in Yelapa and will become INDALO’s first accommodations. Designed to rest lightly within the landscape and furnished for quiet comfort, each suite will offer the openness of sleeping close to nature while preserving privacy and attentive service.
The Beach Lounge
A relaxed, open-air setting shaped around the sea, shaded daybeds and an intimate bar. The renewed Beach Lounge will bring together simple food, considered drinks and the freedom to spend an afternoon without watching the time.
Together, these spaces establish the foundation from which INDALO can grow thoughtfully—one measured chapter at a time.
